Nice to meet you.
Off Road Consultancy is a small, family run business committed to providing the highest quality training. It is our firm belief that our relationship with our clients does not end at the end of the initial course and that we will continue to support all of our customers with ongoing advice and guidance.
Chris Putt heads up our training, with a proven track record of over 10 years providing training, experiences and support services in a wide variety of disciplines for clients including vehicle manufacturers, industrial sectors and the professional rescue services.
With a skillset ranging from 4×4 use to Confined Spaces and Flood Rescue (to name just a handful) we can provide practical solutions and advice for a wide spectrum of needs.
As an accredited LANTRA provider, we are able to deliver industry leading 4×4, ATV and UTV training courses. These courses fulfill the requirements under PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998) and are recognised under the HSE/HSA and HSENI, making them ideal for professional users.
The Team

Chris
I studied Outdoor and Environmental Education whilst at University initially working as a multi-activity instructor in the Outdoor Pursuits Industry.
The skills I had honed working in the outdoors transferred well to moving to work in technical rescue, this mainly consisted of delivering specialist training for Fire services and rescue teams alongside providing standby rescue cover for industrial projects throughout the UK.
Following moving to Yorkshire, I spent a few years working as an engineer and Health and Safety advisor in the water industry.
In 2018 I decided I needed to refocus on my main skills and create a job for myself that I would enjoy and that would continue to retain my interest, so I returned to training full time.
Off road vehicles have been a part of my life since I was 16, and have been the way for me to get to and from difficult work sites ever since, so it was logical that combining this interest with a background in Health and Safety should lead us to create our business, Off Road Consultancy.
Day-to-day I am usually out delivering training for our candidates, or assisting LANTRA as a Technical Verifier with course development and quality assurance of their training.

Leanne
I studied Interdisciplinary Art and design at University and worked for a number of years at a distance learning college as a Graphic Designer.
My role developed beyond graphic design and into the management of the process of designing courses and materials for learners.
This role was a huge challenge and involved interacting with tutors, assessors and students about how to create resources that were accessible for all users and were suitable for distance learning both in hard copy form and digitally.
Following having our first child I went back to this role part-time, alongside running the ‘backroom’ elements of Off Road Consultancy.
It quite quickly became evident that ORC was becoming a business that required more than part-time attention and in 2022 I left my previous job and made the move to run the business full-time.
I manage all of the day-to-day functions of the business including accounting, marketing and organising all of our training delivery.
