It is a requirement under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations that all employers provide adequate training for their employees in order to use all equipment safely. 4×4 vehicles are no exception. With over 10 years experience of using 4x4s in a working environment, and over a decade of delivering training and experiences we can prepare your employees to operate 4×4 vehicles safely in difficult weather and demanding terrain. The industry leading LANTRA courses we provide fulfil the requirements under PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998) and are recognised under the HSE/HSA and HSENI
The courses cover Health and Safety, physical attributes of off road vehicles, safe use of controls and driver aids, vehicle checks and preparation, assessment of terrain and basic recovery techniques.
We can provide training either at a venue of your choosing (subject to meeting suitable criteria) or at one of our pre-selected training venues throughout the UK- please contact us for further details.
Vehicles and the environment
Central to all of the training and offroad activities we provide is a responsible approach to off road vehicle operating, minimising environmental damage and nuisance to others. We endeavour to work to the principles laid down by treadlightly! For off road vehicle use, these can be found here:
